Northern Lights Foods, owned by the Lac La Ronge Indian Band consists of an Organic Foods Division. Besides covering the Canadian market, our product is exported throughout Europe, The United States and Japan. The Organic Food Division has 10 full-time employees and over 1000 seasonal workers involved in the harvesting of organic wild rice and organic wild mushrooms. Quality Assurance International and OCCP/Pro-Cert Canada Inc. certify the organic wild rice in the world. Along with our own production, we purchase wild rice from over 100 independent organic producers in Northern Saskatchewan. Our wild rice is sold primarily to markets throughout Europe and The United States.

Northern Lights Foods is the first company in Canada to offer organically certified wild mushrooms. The product line includes Morels, Chanterelles and Matsutake mushrooms. They are available in fresh, dried and frozen. The organic mushrooms are harvested in the Boreal Forest of Northern Saskatchewan, which is one of the most pristine environments in the world.
